Starting with the precept that ‘Europe is of the people’, we wanted to design a poster which indicated how varied a land Europe is – or, rather, how varied is its people. Using a striking weaved graphic design, which brings to mind a three-dimensional structure, we decided to position the title of the project behind statements that had been gathered from various people about ‘what Europe is’, thus giving them prominence.
