Cornwell Design (AU) : Hecker Guthrie

Hecker Guthrie

Paul Hecker and Hamish Guthrie have produced some of the best interiors in the world. When they decided to upgrade their brand to reflect the evolution of their business, we created an identity not unlike their projects: crafted, detailed, textural, bold, tactile and sumptuous.

Hey Days : What if Pine

2010
What if Pine is an exhibition held at the V&A, as a result of a ongoing project initiated by the norwegian furniture designers Frøystad+Klock. Its purpose was to explore the versatility and use of pine in modern design processes. We created the exhibition material, including a custom modular display type, based on the pine walls used as a backdrop at the exhibition stand.

Hey Days: Woodhouse

Woodhouse represents suppliers to buy and to sell timber, boards and construction materials, as a binder between the supplier and the customer. Since new markets opened for communicating both to the construction market and directly with the architects, the identity needed a lift. Our task was to communicate to both segments, despite being different in behavior. We used raw materials for print, combined with strong graphic images of wood materials at different stages to underline a close connection to the products and their clients.

Dona Baronesa – Sustainable Visual ID

Dona Baronesa | Sustainable Visual ID
For the opening of Dona Baronesa new studio, the visual identity was designed to be sustainable, by using custom made stamps so that scrap paper and old paper displays that we already had could re-used. The use of stamps can also allow the use of less aggressive ink, like water based inks in the process, wich is great for the environment! The idea of using stamps to craft the stationery were also great because it was a wonderful way to illustrate the studio’s concept where every material is “designed and tailored to the clients taste”.
The studio’s stationery was completely hand crafted, and no new paper stock, print and harmful varnishes were used in the process.
The die-cut for the envelope, media package, and bookmarks was custom designed for the project.
The use of stamps for crafting the stationery is also great because it doesn’t limit the type of material that can be created and designed. Other creative pieces, rather than the traditional letterheads and envelopes, can be designed like posters, bookmarks, postcards, stickers, and just about anything one can imagine!

What I like about this :
This whole idea of using a rubber stamp as the one medium in which the design is applied through. I'm planning on using this as part of my self promotion and branding

the rubber stamp creates really lovely grunge texture but authentic rather re creating it digitally

can use through out lots of different range of products. eg stationary, business card and even wrapping paper etc
