16 Frames: Black and White Film Festival

I was in Brass yesterday to carry on helping them with a branding brief and I showed Ian some of my, also the black and white film festival project I've been working on.

I got some really helpful feedback and it really inspired me to really have fun with this project!

  •  consider- Reception? the reception of the film festival could include things like the history of films, a background to black and white films. The development of black and white films . To give the attendees and audience some kind of back story.

  • How are you going to promote it- some kinda of publication ? a book? what do people get from attending this festival?

  • As for the branding and design. The tone of voice? thinking about how lights were used, film grains,  noise etc

  • try to find that new dimension to make it more special ??? what other media can you use.

  • think about the experience. how could you give the audience a whole experience rather than nice posters etc. ( look at the GBH's Eurostar lounge) eg. drapes, lights .

  • Find unique things, how do you entice people? NOT just nice type but actually entice people, make them want to go to the festival

  • Look at how things are promoted during those times, advertising styles of 1920's-1960'

  • what about using real space eg. side of buildings, actually painting on tings.
